to a ring that
fits perfectly

The first conversation is about your gemstone — not your budget, not your timeline, not your design ideas. The stone comes first because everything else — the basket depth, the prong height, the band width, the metal weight — flows from the stone’s specific dimensions and characteristics.

You don’t need to have a gemological certificate or know technical terminology. A clear photograph from above, the side, and at an angle, along with any measurements you have, is enough to get started. If you don’t have measurements, a local jeweler can measure your stone in under five minutes — and we’ll tell you exactly what to ask them to record.

You don’t need to arrive with a finished design concept. Most of our customers arrive with a feeling — “timeless and simple,” “vintage and ornate,” “modern and architectural” — and we translate that into a concrete design direction. Others come with a photo of a ring they love and want us to adapt for their stone. Both are excellent starting points.

What we need to know: the metal (14k or 18k gold, in yellow, white, or rose), any style references or photographs, your finger size or how to determine it, and whether you have any specific elements you want included or specifically want to avoid. The rest we handle.

Within 48 hours of receiving your stone details and design direction, we send you a written quote with an itemized breakdown — the cost of the setting, the metal weight, the finishing work, and shipping. There are no hidden fees and no pressure to proceed.

The quote also includes a proposed timeline, any design questions or observations from our review of your stone, and a clear outline of the next steps if you decide to move forward.

This is where the ring begins to exist. We build your design in professional CAD software — every prong, every millimeter of band width, every surface angle modeled in three dimensions with your stone’s exact measurements as the foundation. The basket is engineered to hold your specific stone at the correct depth. The band is proportioned to your finger size. Nothing is approximated.

We then produce a photorealistic render showing your ring from multiple angles. This render is sent to you for review before we proceed. If anything looks different from your vision — a prong feels too heavy, the band looks too thin, or the profile sits too high — we revise it. Nothing moves forward without your written approval.

Once you approve the design, the CAD file is sent to a high-resolution 3D printer, which produces a resin model of your ring in exact scale. The model is inspected for accuracy before the project proceeds.

The resin model is invested in a plaster-like material and placed in a kiln. The kiln burns out the resin, leaving the exact negative cavity of the ring. Molten precious metal is then introduced into that cavity, capturing the approved design.

The cast ring then moves through hand finishing: filing, sanding, polishing, alignment checks, and stone setting. Every prong and surface is inspected before the ring is prepared for delivery.

Your finished ring is photographed, packaged in a jewelry box, and shipped with insurance and tracking. We serve customers throughout the United States and can discuss international shipping requirements when applicable.

Along with your ring, you’ll receive the applicable documentation for the finished piece. We remain available after delivery for care guidance, sizing questions, and future maintenance recommendations.
